Sports ground Adausena in Adausena, Ghana

Goal:
Maarten van Geest and Raymond van Gool, the two volunteers who spent three months in the Birim North District to support the projects of BigStep have returned to the Netherlands. They had a pleasant time in Ghana, during which they did a lot of hard work and made many friends as well.
Apart from teaching students and teachers in Adausena (ICT), they had also been busy with developing a Sports ground. They worked together with the sports coordinator at New Abirem to uplift footballing and volleyballing in the district and organized selection competitions in the schools. Apart from that, they have offered the sports coaches some tips in coaching and training of children.
In view of the fact that the Sports project eventually became bigger than they had thought, the two volunteers were not able to complete it before their departure. Back in Netherlands, they are seriously working together with BigStep and our partner organization in Ghana, BigStep Foundation Ghana, to complete the project.
