Preschool Adausena in Adausena

Place:Adausena
Date:1 February 2008 to 30 September 2008
Goal:

Preschool in Adausena renovated

The preschool in Adausena has undergone a transformation under the supervision of Elise Polak, one of our volunteers. The building, which sits on a hill just outside of the village, was so dilapidated that it had become dangerous to be inside of for the youngest children of the village. It has been renovated and it now (almost) looks like new. This project has been completed succesfully thanks to the financial contribution of the members of the 1%club.
The village counsel has later decided that this renovated building will be used to teach the older children in. The main reason for this is that the younger children have to cross a road which is ever growing busier to get to their school. The younger children will now be taught at a different school, which has been extended and renovated.
The primary school in Nieuwendijk, which Elise Polak attended, has organised a fancy fair after Elise held a presentatiom there. The profits of this fancy fair will be used to develop a playground near the preschool in Adausena. >>Read more about the fancy fair
