Become a Volunteer

Working as volunteer for BigStepBigStep provides volunteers opportunities to help in improving education and creating job opportunities for the youth in the deprived areas of Ghana. The living conditions in these areas are often quite primitive and volunteers are expected to be creative and must be able to survive in difficult conditions.

Volunteers must be at least one month available in Ghana to help in the implementation of the various projects. They live in the villages with the people during their stay. On arrival in Ghana, volunteers stay for a few days in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. BigStep Foundation Ghana provides accommodation and coaching. They are then sent to Eastern Region, where the projects of BigStep are located.

Before a volunteer travels to Ghana, BigStep arranges series of talks with them in Holland, during which issues like motivation, experience and skills are fully discussed. BigStep needs creative volunteers who are willing to help in various fields in Ghana. We expect the volunteers to contribute to the promotion of the projects and fundraising in the Netherlands.
